Royal Mail undertook community consultation in January 2022, with two online events advertised via an information leaflet delivered to an area of over 2,500 properties.
84 people attended these consultation events and raised various questions of the development team. Several changes were made as a result of this consultation and responses to the initial planning application, to ensure minimal impact on this residential area.
We have recently submitted updated technical studies to the council and are awaiting a decision on the planning application

Jan 2024 – Jul 2025: Detailed design
Aug 2025 – Dec 2025: Procurement of main contractor
Sep 2024 – Jul 2025: Vegetation and site clearance activities
Apr 2025 – Jul 2025: Enabling works
April 2025: Commencement of construction of new delivery office
Summer 2026:Completion of construction and start of Royal Mail operation at Patcham Interchange
